Brynleigh FINALLY got to meet her friend Dylan today. Dylan is a couple of months older than Brynleigh; his mom is my friend Angela. Dylan and Brynleigh go way back – they have been buddies from their days in the womb – but this was their first face-to-face meeting. Angela wrote about their little get-together over on Dylan’s blog (she even posted pictures!), and Ben took some pictures, too.

Brynleigh is a tiny little girl next to two-month-old Dylan! I'm not sure what her intentions were with that fist, but it sure looks feeble!
After they left, Brynleigh had a good lunch and proceeded to sleep while Ben and I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. We watched the end of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and then I joined Miss B for a little nap. When I woke up, it was time for her to eat again!
While Brynleigh had dinner, Ben went to pick up Barkley from Doggie Day Camp. We have decided that he will go to PetSmart for this activity every Saturday from now on. Not only is it super fun for him, but it is also a great way for him to socialize with other dogs. It wears him out (making him better behaved) and it allows Ben and I to spend time together with Brynleigh as a family.
Ben came home with Barkley…and a copy of Madagascar 2! He knows I have been wanting to see it (who doesn’t love those penguins?) and so he surprised me with it for Valentine’s Day.
Just before we ate dinner, Miss B spit up all over herself while I was changing her diaper. It ran down her face onto the changing table and then she got it all in her hair! It was really gross!! Anyway, I ran her into the kitchen and she got a quick shampoo. Thankfully, she looooves to have her hair done. After her hair was dry and brushed, Brynleigh and I read Gossie before she decided it was time for another little snooze.
Having just finished a lovely gourmet meal of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, we are going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
Ben has to go back to work on Monday. I am not looking forward to being completely alone with the baby for so many hours at a time, but it is something I have to face eventually. It is just hard with all the feeding and being tired all the time. I know I will get used to it at some point…I hope that day comes soon!
